Our little Alyona Destiny arrived 3days early on February 13th!
Weighing 7 Pounds 10 oz, 19 Inches long.
I will be on maternity leave until March 15th. In the meantime I will still be responding to emails/phone calls and taking booking reservations.

I hope that you all had a FABULOUS Valentine’s day filled with lots of love. I am a day late in posting the winner because we welcomed our beautiful baby girl into the world on February 13th. I will be doing a blog post on her since I know many of you out there have been waiting.

A little over a year ago our world was turned around. I was pregnant with
our second daughter, and pretty much miserable most of the time. I wouldn’t
let anyone take pictures of me and documented none of the pregnancy. I just
was ready to celebrate the holidays with our new little girl and move being
pregnant. I just didnt enjoy being pregnant at all. On December 2nd I woke
up at 37 weeks feeling like something was wrong and headed to the hospital
to be checked out. My biggest fears was confirmed, our sweet little girl had
died just days after we went to the doctors and everything was looking
great. I gave birth to her naturally and the following weekend we held a
memorial service for her and buried some of her ashes. Ashlyn Rose, went to
heaven and we lost our daughter and sister.
Life for me changed 100% from that day on. I got passionate about being as
healthy as I could be. We ate a very natural diet, went to the gym and we
enjoyed the life that we were handed. Several months after all the testing
was done we found out that I had a blood clotting disorder that was likely
the cause of the stillbirth. In July we got pregnant again with the
permission of all my doctors and losing 35 pounds which was right out my
ideal weight. We found out our new little one would be born in March, the
same month our first daughter Avery was born.
This pregnancy has been very challenging on us in so many ways. Each day it
is a reminder of our life before Ashlyn and the grief can be very
challenging at times. In October we a level 2 ultrasound and found out our
new little one was very healthy, growing properly and a girl! We couldn’t be
more excited at being able to give Avery and Ashlyn a little sister. We also
learned that our delivery date of our new little girl would be on the exact
same date Avery was born 3 years ago!
Something I regret is not letting anyone take my picture while I was
pregnant. While I do have pictures of our Ashlyn after birth, I have none to
document my pregnancy and wish I wouldn’t have been so bitter about it all.
This time I allow people to feel my belly, take my picture and just enjoy
the pregnancy as much as I am. I would love to have beautiful pictures to go
along with this amazingly challenging pregnancy with hopes of showing them
to both of our daughters in the future.

My personal all time favorite photographer! We have 4 days until my official due date and when I woke up this morning with pretty intense contractions I figured we’d better get this session in! I had contractions the entire time during the session but it was sooooo worth it! My hair was done by the AMAZING Katie M. from Bangz Salon in Bonner Springs and makeup was done by Amy G. at MAC in the Plaza. I HIGHLY recommend both of these ladies if you are looking for someone who is creative and artistic!
Anna and Tim are soooooo much fun! Micah and I loved these two from the time we very first met with them. Anna made the perfect Posh bride and I was totally blown away at how natural she was in front of the camera. They were married two weeks ago in KC and we had a blast getting to spend the entire day with them. Anna was sure to schedule in plenty of time for pictures and the hotel they stayed at (The Marriott) actually had a great little lounge area that we were able to use for all of their indoor photos. Between the lounge and Anna’s dress we had an awesome opportunity to capture some really great “vintage” photos. Tim even played the piano for all of us 
After leaving the lounge we were off to the Plaza and thankfully it was a beautiful day! One thing I love about KC is it can snow one weekend and be 45 out the next in January! Bonyen and Drew were married this past weekend in Kansas City. Bonyen contacted me a few weeks ago about shooting just their ceremony and we were lucky enough to squeeze in a few additional photos before and after the ceremony. Bonyen made such a drop dead gorgeous bride! Here are a few of my favs!
